Allele Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a San Diego based company with a focus on innovative research in life sciences. Privately owned, Allele B&P has three lines of business: Oligo manufacturing, molecular and cell biology customer services, and RNAi gene silencing and development of detection kits. Allele was incorporated in 1999 as a biotechnology discovery company. Its research efforts were mainly supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health. Ongoing projects include RNA interference technologies, RNA signal amplification and detection, antibody selection, and novel transfection methods.
