Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority

The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) is a public corporation and government agency that was founded in 1941. Its mission is to provide electric energy services to clients in the most efficient, cost-effective and reliable manner in harmony with the environment, health and security. Its vision is to ensure that PREPA's operations are competitive vis a vis to similar corporations around the world. PREPA produces, transmits and distributes, practically, all the electric power used in Puerto Rico. It is one of the major public electric power corporations in the United States.
