International Center of Photography

The International Center of Photography is a museum, a school, and a center for photographers and photography. Founded in 1974 in a mansion on Fifth Avenue, the International Center of Photography now occupies state-of-the-art museum and school facilities in midtown Manhattan, just east of Times Square. ICP's mission is to examine and encourage photography's many roles as an agent of social change, a medium of aesthetic expression, a tool for scientific or historical research, and a repository for personal experience and memory.
