Winnipeg Public Library provides responsive and innovative information services to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of citizens. These resources are selected to foster the individual pursuit of knowledge and enhance the cultural, economic and intellectual vitality of the community. Winnipeg Public Library cooperates with other institutions and agencies in resource sharing within Manitoba and Canada. The library considers the availability of materials elsewhere in the community when developing its collections. Winnipeg Public Library has a continuing responsibility to explore, evaluate and introduce new ways of providing services.
