The Newport Beach Public Library operates on a limited budget from the city, with the majority of available funds used to sustain basic services such as staffing, maintenance, utilities and technical support. There is little remaining to maintain the materials and state-of-the-art technology provided by the library, and there are absolutely no funds available to support educational and cultural programs. Large or small, every contribution is important. As President of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to share that the Newport Beach Public Library Foundation has given a total of $405,609 in the last year which far exceeds the typical annual ( www.city.newport-beach.ca.us )
