The members of the Hopatcong Police Department offer the following to help serve the community: Emergency Service Unit Â- This is a vehicle run by 6 officers who are EMT trained. The vehicle has the following: Advanced first aid equipment, extrication equipment, hazardous materials response equipment, tactical intervention equipment, mobile command center utilization and there are future plans for ice rescue equipment. Gun Locks: We have free gunlocks to fit rifles and handguns. Just come into the police department lobby where you will find a box of them. Please feel free to take as many as you need for your
