The purpose of the Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department is to protect the residents of the City of Takoma Park and its environs from the ravages of fire and such other emergencies or disasters as may threaten their persons or property. The Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department (TPVFD) incorporated is the Fire and Rescue Department that serves the entire city of Takoma Park and the adjacent UN-incorporated areas of Montgomery County, Maryland.
