Respected Canadian Investment Manager, Brendan Kyne, along with his partner Tracy Dort-Kyne founded Leeward Hedge Funds Inc. in Toronto Canada in April 2001. Leeward is an independent, employee-owned Investment Management Company dedicated to the management of five un-leveraged long/short North American Hedge Funds. Leeward launched its domestic fund in June 2001 and after a successful first year, introduced an offshore version of the fund domiciled out the Grand Cayman in June 2002; subsequently an offshore version was introduced for US investors in June 2003. As a result of Leeward's positive growth a fourth un-leveraged fund was added to the portfolio in only three ( www.leewardhedgefunds.com )
