MTDS is a telecommunications consulting firm located in Rabat, Morocco. It is the premier Internet Service Provider in Morocco providing dial-up, leased line and DSL service throughout the Kingdom. MTDS was founded in October 1993 by James B. Lowenthal (31 Jan 1946 - 25 July 1998), a fifteen year Senior Foreign Service Officer for USAID who worked throughout the developing world. MTDS has become known for its quality of service in the Internet sector in Morocco since it installed the first internet node here in November 1995 at the Al-Akhawayne University, followed in January 1996 by the first public access dial-up service in Morocco.
