Scratch is an independent company founded in 1987, based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Initially a tiny retail specialty record store, Scratch expanded to become a record label in 1991, concert promoters in 1992, a Canadian distributor in 1995, and an international distributor in 1998. We have long been known for our knowledge, diversity, involvement, and support of independent music. We're confident you'll notice this quickly; while this is a commerce inspired site, very few other online stores feature such a wide variety of music, even fewer have any sort of knowledge about what they sell, nor feature obscure releases and vinyl.
