Membership of the National Hairdressers’ Federation (NHF) is open to all salon owners and self employed hairdressers and beauticians working in a salon. It was formed in 1942 and exists to advance, defend, help, protect, promote and represent the interests of members in every possible way. We try to be the font of all knowledge and wisdom for our members.
Broadly speaking the benefits of membership can be categorised as services to help you be more effective and efficient in your salon, to assist when in trouble, and to ensure that your voice is heard in Government circles whenever issues arise that will affect you and your business. This can be graphically illustrated by examining how we help members in the field of employment.
It is because of what we do, and the services that we provide, that the NHF is the largest organisation representing salon owners in this country. Membership is voluntary and currently stands at 7,000 and between them they own more than 11,000 salons. Together we are one powerful team.
The aim of the National Hairdressers' Federation is to be the premier organisation within the hairdressing industry that enables members to excel in their business.
