Maveron LLC, a venture capital firm focused on consumer-oriented technology investments, said it has closed its third fund, Maveron Equity Partners III, with about $200 million. Debra Somberg, managing partner at Maveron, said that the firm started fundraising in the summer. She noted that 11 limited partners participated in the fundraising, including Yale University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, the MacArthur Foundation, Mayo Foundation, Carnegie Corp. of New York, Knightsbridge, Legacy Venture, as well as other university endowments, foundations and fund-of-fund investors.
