LIN TV traces its roots back to 1961 with the founding of LIN Broadcasting Corp. LIN Broadcasting was engaged in radio and television broadcasting, magazine publishing, learning and education, and music publishing and record labels. Until 1973, television accounted for only 25 percent of the Company’s total broadcast revenues.
