Yknet

YKNet was co-founded by Northwestel and the non-profit organization called Yukon Net Operating Society in 1995, which has received support or was founded by many Yukoner's, including Rick Steele, Richard Lawrence, Steve Rose, Stephen Horn, Meg Horn, Rod Carty, Tim Kinvig, Norm Easton, Duane Esler, and many others. YKNet was founded to achieve the mission statement of the Yukon Net Operating Society, which YKNet hence forth adopted. In Many communities, YKNet was the first exposure to internet Yukon citizens had. Under the Management of Rick Steele, during the latter part of the 1990's, YKNet entered into the Connect Yukon Agreement with YTG and Northwestel, further advancing the cause of bringing internet to ( www.yknet.ca )
