Obipektin AG

Obipektin AG was founded in 1936, designated to produce pectin. Shareholders were formed by the cooperative OBI in Bischofszell/TG together with the company Unipektin from Eschenz/TG. The Unipektin shares were sold to OBI in 1953, making the cooperative the sole owner of Obipektin AG. 1960 was the beginning of the fruit and vegetable powders production using vacuum and drum drying technology. In May 1958, the company Unitroc AG was founded in Burgdorf/BE. The basic idea was to produce high-quality foodstuffs with the Birs-drying technology (cold spray drying).
