AUC is also offering two theatre courses this spring taught by Steve Ballantine, the Artistic Director of the Sault Youth Theatre. Acting I (Introduction to acting) and Acting II (Acting Theory Study) are being taught as compressed courses May 6th through June 13th. The Introduction to Acting course explores actor training and techniques as proposed by the major acting theorists/practitioners of the 20th century. The principal focus of the study will follow the writings of Uta Hagen. Acting Theory Study is a reading and practical study course concerning the development of acting theory through the past 100 years. Beginning with Stanislavski and considering Artaud, Brecht, Brook, Boal, Jacques Le Coq, Uta Hagen, Grotowski, Meisner, Meyerhold, and
