IVP was created in April, 1991 by a group of home infusion pharmacy professionals who were disenchanted with the inconsistent and declining quality of care available to patients. The pressures of a changing managed care arena and competition with the national chains force IVP to evaluate alternatives to home infusion that were consistent with their mission. The combination of these market pressures and IVP's creative management style led IVP into a new vision and a focus on disease state management: patients access to unique pharmaceutical products that relate to specific disease states.
