The Martisco Paper Co. Inc

The Martisco Paper Co. mill is located 12 miles southwest of Syracuse, New York on the banks of scenic Nine Mile Creek. Papers of various kinds have been manufacturered at this location for more than 100 years, beginning in 1852 when the original mill was erected. From 1874 to 1960, the mill was owned and operated by a local family, the Lawless's. They named the mill The Onondaga Paper Company when they acquired ownership. It was the Lawless family who decided to concentrate on the making of Bogus Wrapping Paper - the economical packaging and product protective paper. In 1960, after almost a century of successful operation, the Lawless family decided on a well deserved retirement. They sold the mill to a group of men who changed the name to The Martisco Paper Co., ( www.martisco.com )
