Mastel Precision has been involved exclusively in the design and production of ophthalmic surgical instrumentation for more than 25 years. Our founder, Doug Mastel, is a metallurgical engineer by training. Our staff is very experienced, with senior craftsmen each having more than a decade of experience with our firm. Management is strong and an emphasis on Quality Systems Implementation is well underway, with ISO certification expected by early 2006. We have the most sophisticated fine metal working in the industry, particularly suited to the critical intraocular environment for phaco surgery and also to keratorefractive applications related to astigmatic keratotomy footplate finishes as well as microkeratome servicing.
