Russell Standard Corporation

In the spring of 1929, Niles E. Russell founded Russell Standard Corporation to distribute municipal supplies throughout southwest Pennsylvania. Within two years, Russell Standard began operating as a general contractor when they were awarded contracts to expand several municipal parks. By the late 30's, Russell was building rural roads to facilitate the transport of agricultural goods to and from local farms. Soon after, the company began distributing liquid asphalt for road building. In the following decades, paving crews, hot mix asphalt plants, and liquid asphalt emulsion plants were added to the Russell family of products and services. Niles ( www.russellstandard.com )
