Scotty's Choppers was founded in 1995 as a general engineering and manufacturing business. Initial work on bikes was doing repairs and special modifications to existing bikes. Over the next 4 years, development of superior motorcycle components created allowed Scotty's Choppers to move into new markets. In 1999 the business focus turned to work on developing motorcycles products for expanding customer demand. The word was getting around. In 2000 Scotty's started work on a totally new custom motorcycle, The Aluminator. This was a brand new concept bike completely constructed of aluminium.
