Merit Seating was founded in '94 on the principle of providing customers with a broad selection of high quality office seating for a reasonable price. It sounds simple but it was a pretty revolutionary thought back then. Remember Henry Ford and the Model T? He once said "that people could choose from any color paint they wanted as long as it was black." That same mentality in the chair business was why we took the gamble of our lives to start Merit.
